Bonnie Campbell Poux
President, Sales Agent

My introduction into organic agriculture was in Santa Cruz, CA in 1984. There my food career began by picking organic pears deep in the heart of Santa Cruz Mountains, at Happy Valley Ranch. I quickly learned what many people have continued to discover that there is a difference in organic vs. chemical production.

From those beginnings, I entered into the wider spectrum of providing food to the consumer. I learned how to handle fresh produce at the retail level in a small health food store, Natures Bounty. The next step was taking on the task of Santa Cruz Trucking. This company was an extension of the Community Foods Store that was formed to make organic food readily available. By supplementing the locally delivered fresh produce with shipments from San Francisco, we helped build an even stronger demand for natural and organic foods.

Utilizing my belief in quality, service and integrity, I formed my own company, Access Organics, Inc. I was aware of the need for a sales organization that allowed farmers to maintain a high level of professionalism, while reducing their on-site staffing needs. My goal was to establish a sales company that could offer sales services to farmers that would allow them to remain competitive, even while marketing under their own labels.

It's all about creating good work for good people and building a future for hard working folks who have dreams and families too. I've believed in Organic all of these years because it is good for us all. Why? Because it's better for the planet, our water, our future, and especially for all of the people that work the soil and tend the crops. Bottom line, it's safer, cleaner, and best of all, it tastes better too!

"Sustainability", it's not just a word; it's a history and future for us all.
